Lampshade Sizing Guide

Lampshade sizing is based on the bottom diameter and listed in the format: Top x Bottom x Height.
As a general rule, the shade should be twice as wide as the widest part of the lamp base, and the shade’s height should be about two-thirds the height of the base.
The shade should ideally cover most or all of the lamp’s neck for a well-balanced look.
If the proportions feel off, try switching to a taller or shorter harp—a quick and inexpensive way to fine-tune the shade’s height.
